Jack Dunkley, MEng, CEng, MIMechE

Jack Dunkley is Engineering Director at Haughton Design, a UK-based medical device development consultancy specialising in drug delivery systems and combination products. He has over a decade of experience leading multidisciplinary teams through the development of complex device technologies, from early-stage innovation and feasibility through to verification, validation, and industrialisation.

His experience spans a broad range of drug delivery platforms, including autoinjectors, pen injectors, inhalation devices, reconstitution and resuspension systems, and large-volume delivery technologies. Jack has supported both bespoke device developments and platform-based solutions, helping pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies navigate the challenges of introducing novel technologies while balancing user needs, manufacturability, regulatory requirements, and commercial objectives.

With a background in mechanical engineering and product development, Jack specialises in translating emerging therapeutic opportunities into robust, scalable device solutions. His work combines innovation, human factors engineering, risk management, design for manufacture, and systems engineering to accelerate development whilst reducing technical and commercial risk.
