Dr. Manuel Sanchez-Felix is a distinguished scientific leader with more than 35 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug discovery and development. He is a recognized authority in drug delivery technologies. His career has focused on turning promising molecules into medicines that patients can use effectively.
Dr. Sanchez-Felix brings a quantitative, patient-centric approach to formulation design. He pairs rigorous biopharmaceutics with a clear view of how patients experience treatment, and that view shapes how he selects and engineers delivery strategies. His expertise covers novel delivery technologies across a broad range of therapeutic modalities, including biologics, gene therapy, RNA, peptides, protein degraders, and small molecules.
Dr. Sanchez-Felix has held key scientific leadership roles at Eli Lilly, Novartis, and Halozyme. His work has spanned the full arc of development, from early formulation research through commercial launch. He co-invented and helped develop and launch several pharmaceutical products, including Zyprexa Relprevv, a long-acting injectable for schizophrenia. 
As interim Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Sanchez-Felix leads Pendant's scientific strategy and brings decades of delivery innovation to an already experienced team. His deep background in long-acting injectables fits closely with Pendant's focus on LAI formulation technology.
