Bio:

Peter-Paul Fransen is co-founder and chief technology officer of UPyTher BV. The company develops injectable hydrogels for drug delivery to the abdominal cavity focusing on treating peritoneal metastases that originate from gastrointestinal and gynaecological cancers.

Peter-Paul is one of the inventors of UPyTher’s hydrogel technology platform. He holds an MSc in biomedical engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Barcelona and is author of numerous peer-reviewed papers and patent applications. With his expertise on drug delivery, polymers, and biomaterials, Peter-Paul is responsible for the company’s technological development and discovery programs.
